If you’re investing in a pool for your home, it’s natural to want to know what the process will be like. After all, it’s no small task to install a pool.
Texas Crystal Blue Pools understands that it’s a big commitment, and we want you to feel confident about what the process will look like.
That’s why we try to involve you in the process from start to finish, from showing you the build plan to keeping you informed every step of the way.
While each pool is unique, most builds follow the same general process shown below.
The best pools start with the right prep work. After you get in touch with us, we’ll set up a design consultation at your house to analyze your site and discuss the vision for your pool. We’ll discuss the shape, size, and style you’re interested in as well as other design elements you like.
Once we’ve pinned down a design, we will draw up a contract and get started with the prep work. We’ll ensure you get the right permits and comply with all building codes.
Before we break ground, we will meet with you again to review the plan and stake the outline of the pool for your approval.
We will excavate the site to prepare for the pool building process. Once we dig the hole, we backfill it with gravel to stabilize the foundation and prevent any soil from shifting.
To prepare for the gunite installation, we will reinforce the pool shape with steel beams and wood. They will outline the shape of your swimming pool.
Installing the pool plumbing is one of the most important parts of building a pool. That’s because the plumbing will maintain the circulation system and create the flow.
The main components of the plumbing system are the main drain, lines, and skimmers. It will also include adjustable inlets and control valves the ensure efficient water filtration.
There may be additional plumbing features depending on the features you want added to your pool.
Spa Plumbing
If you want a spa in your pool, we will install these features at this time. We loop the spa lines and a state-of-the-art pump to create an equal and consistent jet pressure.
At this point in the process, your pool will start to actually look like a pool. We spray gunite on the shape of the pool to create a tough inner shell.
After the gunite is sprayed, the homeowner will need to spray the gunite with water at least 2 times a day.
Now it’s time to light up your pool by adding the electric work. We will install the control system, lights, heaters, pumps, switches, and any other special features you want.
Once they’re finished, we connect them to the circuit breakers with the help of a certified electrician.
We create the area around your pool with concrete decking. Before we pour the concrete, we will make sure everything is laid out how you want.
Once you’re ready, we will reinforce it with rebar and then pour the concrete.
Once the gunite cures, we will begin the masonry work. You will choose a stone or tile for the upper rip of your pool as well as a pool interior surface.
Each surface type has different requirements, so we will fill up your pool according to your chosen surface.
When your pool is fully constructed, we will show you how to operate your pool system and discuss what the maintenance looks like.
By properly cleaning and caring for your pool, it will last for several years to come.
Your pool is officially open for business, so jump on in!
